Mission Center Conference

Register to Attend

All delegates and guests planning to attend the fall mission center conference in-person or participate in the conference online are encouraged to register in advance for the weekend. Each person should register individually. Delegates will need to register in order to vote during the business session and receive a ballot for any elections that may be necessary.

Initial estimates for conference costs including facility rental are about $20 per person. There is no fee to register. Generous donations online with your registration or at the conference will be appreciated. Any income beyond expenses will be designated for camping ministries. Coffee and tea will be available at SVSU on Saturday morning. Donations will be appreciated to cover this additional expense (approximately $2.50 per cup). Personal containers may not be used due to health code requirements.

The Marketplace at Doan will be open for buffet dining on campus during the lunch break. Meal tickets cost $14/person. SVSU is now a cashless campus, so meals must be purchased with a debit/credit card.

Delegate Preparation

A recording of the Oct. 14 preparation session held via Zoom is available on the Michigan Mission Center YouTube Channel. A final delegate preparation session will be held on Friday, Nov. 6 at 7:00pm both in-person at Bay City Community of Christ and online via Zoom (delegates only). Please contact Parliamentarian Dan Nowiski with any proposed amendments, motions, or other procedural questions.

Sunday Guest Ministry

Apostle Joey Williams will be sharing with the mission center throughout the conference weekend. On Sunday morning Apostle Williams will lead two presentations starting at 9:00am and share a message during the worship experience starting at 10:45am.

Presentation 1 – USA Field Missional Priorities – 9:00am
Our faith is an active, daily practice that gives us shared direction so we can work together with purpose. These three missional priorities guide how we cultivate radical discipleship, empower grassroots leaders, and innovate together to pursue justice and embody Christ’s peace.

Presentation 2 – Migration & Hospitality – 9:30am
As climate disruptions force people to relocate, communities and nations face questions about hospitality, justice, and responsibility. This session will explore climate migration through the lenses of discipleship, human dignity, and global solidarity.

All are welcome to join the Sunday sessions in person at Bay City Community of Christ or online via Zoom.

Offering to Support Youth Camp Ministries

An offering will be received on Saturday, Nov. 7 in the afternoon to support youth camp ministries. If you are not able to attend the conference, you can donate online here: https://michiganyouthcamps.org/donate/

Saturday Youth Activities for Grades K-5

A room supervised by registered youth workers will be available for children in kindergarten through fifth grade during the conference sessions on Saturday morning and afternoon. Please register youth by Saturday, October 31.
