Living Hospitality: Hospitality as a Political Act invites participants into a courageous, faith-rooted exploration of how discipleship, politics, and welcome are deeply intertwined. In this 45-minute training, we will ground ourselves in Community of Christ’s Enduring Principles, practice faithful disagreement, and engage prophetic imagination as we examine how policies shape who is welcomed—and who is excluded—in our communities. Through concrete examples, guided reflection, and a hands-on spiritual practice, participants will be invited to move beyond abstract debate toward Gospel-shaped political engagement that upholds the worth of all persons, seeks right relationship over being right, and dares to imagine God’s preferred future. This session is designed for those who feel the tension of politics in their faith life and are ready to approach it with curiosity, humility, and hope.
